Shutters!

Shutters! Is what my friend Pete used to shout when he worked behind the student union bar and saw trouble brewing. He and his colleagues would hastily pull down the bar shutters and wait for the ensuing alterations to run out of steam before raising them again to serve more beer to the thirsty students.

Back to the present: the kids now have shutters in their bedrooms. They’ve been sleeping without any window coverings since January. We hoped that morning darkness would encourage Leela to sleep past 6am but unfortunately playtime is more important…
