Kitchen Emerges

One month after their promised delivery date, Salvarani Kitchens (in Willoughby) finally started delivering and installing our kitchen. It took them over 10 weeks. Their project manager, Moe is almost unbelievably incompetent and their business model seems to suffer from a chain of subcontractors. We were very relieved that the deliveries and installation started on Thursday. We were assured that it would be completed by the weekend but of course it’s not even halfway finished. Still we’re relieved that something has happened. It’s highly likely that there will still be problems but hopefully it’ll be completed in time for our final floor polish in a week. Then we can finally get our stuff out of storage and stop living off a BBQ. Autumn in Sydney amazingly had 25 degree temperatures but recently it’s plummeted to a near-arctic 19. All of our winter clothes are in storage so we’re really looking forwards to getting those back soon! I’ll post some photos of the new kitchen soon…

Wardrobes

After comparing various wardrobe options for many weeks we finally made our decision. Hamid did a great job putting them together for us (it took a week) and we now all finally have somewhere to put our clothes.

Our bad news is that the kitchen people didn’t deliver on the agreed date (Friday). Apparently they have delayed to Wednesday. In the meantime we have no cooker/oven or sink so it’s a bit of a trying time…
