The builders added the balustrades to the balcony:
They have also removed all the scaffolding and the ramp to the balcony. They are just finishing bits and pieces off while we wait another few weeks for the kitchen.
Meanwhile, we acquired a lovely gas fireplace today. Or at least it’ll be lovely once the hearth, margin and mantle piece are added soon after the kitchen installation.

Please don’t make me nervous with headlines like ‘Fire!’. No ‘Flood!’ either please. Seriously, both balcony and fire look great. Hope the kitchen people keep to schedule
